We are seeking an experienced contracts professional to join their firmwide procurement team. Based in either Leeds or Manchester with a hybrid working model, the role involves working closely with the Procurement team, Office of the General Counsel, Information Security team, business stakeholders, and senior management to review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial supplier agreements. The role encompasses the entire process from initiation to execution, advising on contractual matters and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Our Procurement team is known for its strategic approach to sourcing and supplier relationship management, focusing on long-term partnerships and continuous process improvement. The role is pivotal as we expand globally, involving both local and international contracts and emphasizing risk management.
Responsibilities include advising on commercial and legal aspects of contracts, identifying and mitigating legal risks, keeping up-to-date with legislation, training the Procurement team, maintaining contract templates, and supporting service level improvements and compliance. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in commercial contracts within a procurement setting, strong drafting and negotiation skills, resilience, and the ability to work independently. Experience with data protection, IT contracts, and intellectual property issues is also desirable.
