We are working with a professional initiative dedicated to creating a gender-balanced, diverse, and inclusive energy sector. As an interim Project Officer, you will work alongside the Initiative Head. You will be co-ordinating and project managing a number of events and programmes linked to this goal. You will be housed in one of the leading international membership bodies for the energy profession and will be working with incredible senior energy professionals as they advocate for diversity and inclusion.


What will you be responsible for?


1. Alongside the Head of the team, working on networking and events activities including the Alliance’s Annual Conference.

2. Lead the ambassador program, managing up to 90 senior energy professionals who advocate for diversity and inclusion. This includes organizing the annual Ambassador program networking reception.

3. Lead coaching breakfast events (four annually), selecting senior energy speakers and managing attendee engagement.

4. Contribute to the strategic and operational planning of an Annual Conference and Annual State of the Nation event, attracting up to 200 in-person attendees and over 500 online participants per event.

5. Report project progress to the Board and propose new ideas generated by the operations team.

6. Serve as a member of the Energy Leaders’ Coalition Diversity & Inclusion Leads Committee, supporting the Head of the team with stakeholder relations and engagement.

7. Undertake any other projects/activities assigned by the Head of the team.


What key Skills and Knowledge will I need to thrive in this role?


- Proven ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

- Team-oriented and flexible self-starter.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Proficient in Office 365, CRM systems, web editing, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

- Strong interpersonal skills.

- Personal commitment to advancing female leadership and diversity in the UK energy sector.

- Prince II or similar agile Project Management certification is beneficial but not essential.
