We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and deliverexceptionaldishes to our customers.
Role overview:As a Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, from menu planning to ensuring the highest food quality standards. You will be a key player in shaping our seasonal offerings, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining a clean, efficient, and creative kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities:
  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver exceptional quality dishes.
  • Create and develop seasonal menus that align with the delis brand and customer preferences.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Manage food costs and maintain inventory levels while minimizing waste.
  • Oversee kitchen hygiene and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source the freshest ingredients while maintaining budgetary controls.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef preferably in a deli, café, or similar environment.
  • A passion for high-quality, seasonal ingredients and innovative cooking techniques.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and train a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
