Senior Claims Operations Manager

A newly created role for a person with strong London Market Claims Operations background, previously with claims handler/adjuster experience looking to move into a progressive role, managing syndicate claim frameworks, process improvements, analysis and senior level stakeholder relationship management.
The role is to support the delivery of Claims Management function, ensuring syndicate’s regulatory obligations are met and service levels to clients maintained. there will be a focus on developing a deeper understanding and insight into syndicates claims proposition, developing and and maintaining of Claims Oversight Framework.
Oversee DCA activity (onboarding, contracting, SLA oversight) including high level oversight of DCA performance, and escalation where performance issues identified.
Lead regular review meetings with syndicates, to attain detailed oversight of claims performance
Support the delivery of and represent claims at new initiatives.
Promote excellent working relationships with the claims team at Lloyd’s.
Set and approve claims handling authorities for all managed syndicates claims teams.
Approve claim reserves and payments over the syndicate’s delegated authority. Approve all syndicate claims management and reserving philosophies as well as their internal claims protocols;
For syndicates without their own Head of Claims, proactively manage any outsource arrangement and ensure a suitable claims proposition is delivered.
Approve all lead outsource claims handling arrangements for both coverholders and third party delegated claims administrators;
Represent MGA with respect to claim matters as required.
Promote active engagement with other teams, particularly DUA, Compliance, Risk and Actuarial.
