This is a rare and exceptional opportunity to join Northwood Hygiene Products, an entrepreneurial, highly acquisitive, family-owned UK based operation manufacturing hygiene tissue products for the away-from market. This successful Group operates from 10 sites across the UK, plus 2 in Spain employing c1000 people. Northwood’s diverse and inclusive team helps them better serve their customers.

The Away from Home Division has seen substantial growth over recent years, which is set to continue and, with a turnover of over £175m p.a., supplies market-leading hygiene tissue products and dispensing systems via national and independent distribution channels.

Due to retirement, a high-potential Commercial Director is now required to lead and deliver the Division’s future commercial and sales growth strategy, with a focus on profitable and sustained growth across multiple channels.

Providing strong leadership, team development, coaching and motivation to an experienced and high performing team of c40 across Sales Management, National Account Management and Marketing, you will ensure the delivery of new business acquisition targets, as well as revenue growth from existing customers through enhanced customer service and added value key account strategies, to ensure Northwood are recognised as the leading service provider in the sector.

The Commercial Director will ‘own’ and ensure continuous improvement of commercial and reporting processes, and market pricing, whilst retaining high-level contact with key strategic partners.

Ideally qualified to Degree level with additional Professional qualifications, candidates will be able to demonstrate an impressive strategic commercial/sales leadership track record, with extensive leadership and change management skills, gained in a similar high volume, multiple SKU environment. Experience in supplying into a Distributor network is essential, as is a demonstrable ability to build relationships with customers.
