After several years of strong growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Reporter to join our flagship brand Energy Voice in London and help lead the next phase of its evolution as we grow our coverage of the UK energy industry.


Energy Voice has been setting the agenda in energy for over a decade, with more than 250k users per month relying on the website as a trusted source of breaking news. We are now investing heavily in the brand to cement our position as the essential platform for anyone active in the country’s energy sector.


The Opportunity:

The Senior Reporter will be responsible for producing breaking news and progressive, insightful and audience-led content to serve and grow our subscriber base, joining a growing editorial team network spanning the UK.


This is a unique opportunity for a highly experienced energy journalist to become an integral part of an established and rapidly growing brand in the DC Thomson portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit news and opinion pieces
  • Work with editorial team to ensure best-in-class reporting
  • Stay ahead of industry developments to ensure Energy Voice is the essential source of breaking news
  • Generate original ideas for articles and AV content
  • Join the award-winning podcast Energy Voice Out Loud
  • Conduct interviews with industry leaders and build network
  • Push content and personal profile on social channels such as LinkedIn
  • Represent brand at internal and external events
  • Moderate panel discussions and lead Energy Voice events
  • Support senior leadership team on strategy for future development and growth of Energy Voice – experience / understanding of data-driven content strategy is key


This is a full-time, permanent position, working 35 hours per week on a flexible hybrid model. Base location would be London Fleet Street office. We offer a generous package including 34 days holiday, health cash plan, excellent pension, a competitive salary and many more benefits.
