The role:

You will understand and manage regulatory risk, establish control frameworks, and drive regulatory change across the business. This role requires a broad knowledge of insurance regulatory matters particularly across the Lloyd’s markets.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing relationships with stakeholders and fostering a strong compliance culture.
  • Providing regulatory advice and oversight.
  • Investigating sanctions and supporting regulatory processes.
  • Collaborating with the broader Compliance function to develop performance metrics.
  • Monitoring and communicating regulatory changes.
  • Supporting regulatory projects, managing information requests, and preparing presentations.
  • Responding to regulatory queries and supporting the compliance team.


Experience:

  • In depth knowledge of and experience in insurance is essential, particularly in the London insurance market.
  • Ability to gain respect with stakeholders at all levels by understanding their business.
  • A broad knowledge of key PRA, FCA, Lloyd’s (and BMA, GFSC desirable) insurance regulatory topics, and ease with complex and technical regulations.
  • Experience in driving through regulatory change.
  • Detailed knowledge of economic sanctions, including controls, investigation, assurance and monitoring.
