The Product Manager - Data Visualisation (12 month FTC) will play a leading role in crafting and implementing the strategy for their data visualisation capabilities. This role will serve as the primary advocate for their users, working closely with them to understand their needs and ensure that OVO's tools enable them to derive insights and make data-driven decisions effectively. You will also collaborate with vendors, manage budgets and costs, and drive rationalisation across the tool estate.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Strategy and User Advocacy:
•Develop and lead the product roadmap for data visualisation tools and capabilities
• Conduct user research and gather feedback to understand user needs and pain points
• Define user personas and use cases to guide product development and prioritsation
• Develop recommendations for data visualisation across a diverse cohort of users
• Foster a positive relationship with the analytics community to align data visualisation efforts with broader analytics goals
• Make informed decisions about the strategic direction of their data visualisation capabilities
• Communicate the product vision and strategy effectively to stakeholders across the organisation
Vendor and Partner Management:
• Build and maintain relationships with key vendors
• Evaluate and select data visualisation tools and technologies
• Help negotiate contracts and manage software licenses
• Collaborate with Tech and other teams to ensure successful tool implementation and integration
Tool Rationalisation and Optimisation:
• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of OVO’s existing data visualisation tool landscape and find opportunities for consolidation and rationalisation to reduce costs and complexity
• Develop a plan for migrating users to a streamlined set of tools
• Monitor tool stage and performance to identify areas for optimisation
• Stay abreast of industry trends and new technologies in the data visualisation space
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
•3+ years of experience in analytics, BI or related data fields
• Experience of, or strong interest in and examples of Product thinking and methodologies in your recent roles
• Exposure to at least one (ideally 2+) data visualisation tools, e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Thoughtspot
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• An ability to create and communicate a strategy to different audiences
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Passion for data and its potential to drive business value

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:
• 12-month Fixed Term Contract - salary of £60-£75k plus on-target bonus of 15%
• 34 days holiday including bank holidays
