As the Training and Compliance Coordinator you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the training and compliance needs of the site. This will involve monitoring departmental data to look at when licences and training are due to be renewed, manging and building internal online training modules and supporting senior leaders and managers with people development and on the job skill training. You will coordinate with external suppliers, managers and the employee to facilitate the training and keep accurate records on all training provided to assure that we have a legal, compliant and safe workforce.


This is a developmental role working towards a Systems & Improvement Manager Role


British Gypsum is part of Saint-Gobain UK and Ireland and is the UK's leading manufacturer of plasterboard and plaster-based drylining systems and products

What we’re looking for:


We are looking for someone who is used to working in a compliance driven environment, enjoys managing processes and has the initiative to improve and optimise the compliance and training offering onsite. You will interface with a large internal and external network from senior leaders to new employees and support the site with the coordination of training to guarantee we remain compliant.


  • Previous experience in a compliance or co-ordination-based role
  • Database management
  • The ability to prioritise and work in a fast paced, time critical environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in dealing with information of a highly confidential nature
  • Ability to use systems and processes


What you will be doing:

This is a varied and fast paced role that requires a high attention to detail to monitor, evaluate and record the training requirements for the site.


Day to day you will be involved in:


  • Processing and coordination of training; organising training and development for the site whilst using record management to keep employee records up to date and compliant.
  • Manages departmental data, databases and compliance records, ensuring these are kept up to date and recorded accurately and in a timely manner to guarantee the site remains compliant.
  • Assist in the generation of reports required for auditing
  • Engage with stakeholders (suppliers, contractors, colleagues, managers etc.) to gain appropriate support in swiftly resolving any site issues, in particular any problems that may prevent accurate and timely processing of information that supports operational performance
  • Working with the senior teams to develop and create training modules on our online training platform
  • Ensure People Development plans are regularly reviewed, gaps identified, and training plans maintained
  • Managing confidential information
