Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Manager to join our team. As a Bioprocessing Specialist, you will be responsible for the manufacture of all materials and reagents within the LSG facility – this includes cell culture media, buffers and bespoke reagents to specific formulations. You will be responsible for the direction of the production team, planning of manufacture and maintenance of the production facility.
Position Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise assigned areas in order to manufacture high quality biological products.
- Experience in the use of single use production systems
- Assist in the transfer of new products from Production Development into Production and manufacturing
- Join with discussions with customers for project design
- Troubleshoot production problems, document findings and implement solutions to resolve problems
- Train personnel in scientific principles, time management, GMP, technical requirements and all other policies and regulations governing the production of biological operations.
- Communicate to management progress of the department, problems, employee actions, new ideas and all other pertinent information.
- Administration of company policies and safety programs.
- Interface with other department managers and employees in a professional manner to coordinate the activities and issues.
- Complete annual review of all production processes
- Participate in and/or chair appropriate meetings
- To actively support Quality Assurance to identify non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- To actively promote an open and engaging work culture within LSG.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field
- Proven experience as a Bioprocessing Manager or Supervisor
- Experience of working under GMP
- Experience of manufacture of medical devices
- Strong knowledge of appropriate methodologies, tools and processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
