Purpose:


The EHS Advisor ensures Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance across projects by implementing and maintaining the management system, coordinating EHS matters, and providing guidance to the project team under the direction of the EHS Manager. This role involves regular travel between projects and may require full-time placement on specific projects.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Offer EHS advice, guidance, and training to management, workers, and subcontractors.
  • Lead by example, proactively addressing EHS concerns.
  • Identify and address training needs and conduct necessary training.
  • Conduct audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with EHS standards and continuous improvement.
  • Report on EHS risks, KPIs, and trends, suggesting constructive actions.
  • Manage incident reporting and investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update EHS Plans, RAMS, and other site documents, ensuring compliance with regulations.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • 5+ years of industry experience, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, and CSA.
  • Data Center experience is preferable
  • Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Management.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS management systems, construction regulations, and subcontractor management.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in audit preparation, EHS reporting, and incident investigation.
  • Membership in IOSH or equivalent organization.


Additional Duties:


  • Monitor and enforce EHS compliance, issue non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Attend EHS meetings, prepare monthly KPI reports, and ensure site safety documentation is up-to-date.
