Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and highly skilled Installation Analysis Engineer to be an integral part of our offshore engineering division. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the general installation of pipelines, umbilical, and flexible systems, and provide advanced structural analysis and numerical simulation support to the Saipem Group. The role will involve developing innovative criteria and methodologies for subsea field development and sealine systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support the installation of pipeline, umbilical, and flexible systems for subsea field developments.
  • Provide advanced structural analysis and numerical simulation support for Offshore Business Unit activities.
  • Develop new methodologies, design criteria, and components to improve the installation and safety of subsea systems.
  • Act as Project Specialist (PS) and Project Specialist Leader (PSL) for Structures and Sealines Advanced Studies during design engineering activities.
  • Manage assigned projects autonomously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, ensuring project alignment and satisfaction.
  • Write detailed, top-quality technical reports that meet industry standards.
  • Lead and participate in client meetings, representing the department and Saipem effectively.


Department Responsibilities:

  • Assist in updating and enhancing the department's tools for predicting pipeline structural integrity.
  • Maintain and improve the department's excellence by contributing to knowledge sharing and innovation.
  • Write and update Working Instructions to support department operations.
  • Contribute to defining and improving the department’s quality system and standard operating procedures.
  • Support software validation processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain and develop the process of Lesson Learning to drive continuous improvement.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in pipelay engineering, with a strong understanding of installation and constructability aspects of pipelines, umbilicals, and flexible systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex engineering projects autonomously.
  • Experience in structural analysis, numerical simulations, and subsea installations.
  • Strong ability to produce high-quality technical reports and manage client interactions.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in OrcaFlex software is essential.
  • Knowledge of additional subsea analysis software is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop innovative engineering solutions.
