We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Cornwall, who are recruiting for a Repairs Manager on a three-month rolling contract.


The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The daily rate of pay is negotiable up to £375 a day via an Umbrella Company.


  • The ideal candidate will have worked within a Social Housing setting delivering a Responsive Repairs service in adherence with budgets and timeframes.
  • Duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Providing expert guidance to the entirety of the maintenance department on responsive repairs, and damp, mould & condensation
  • Managing the operational delivery of the repairs department, monitoring KPIs to ensure the service is functioning
  • Overseeing budgets, ensure the service is acting in a cost-effective manner
  • Managing a team of Supervisors, Surveyors, Administrators and Repairs Coordinators to provide a voids and reactive repairs service to the community and its residents
  • Overseeing all maintenance and voids contractors, inspecting ongoing/completed work and making recommendations for remedial works
  • Managing and driving performance of contractors to maintain both quality of service, timely delivery and value for money services


Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing
  • Experience delivering a repairs service
  • Experience ensuring KPIs are being hit by contractors
  • Experience delivering on budgets, timeframes and ensuring tenant satisfaction


Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
