Job Description

Working within a state-of-the-art laboratory in Glasgow specialising in virology and cell-based testing services for the biopharmaceutical industry, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader/Supervisor to oversee our sample management team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and manage a team of Test Item / Sample Controllers. The team are responsible for the safe receipt, storage, controlled issuance and waste management of test items and biological agents received at SGS Vitrology Limited.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate should possess proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role, thriving within a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Experience within a laboratory setting is preferred but not essential - This position may be well-suited to someone with team leadership experience in industries such as warehousing, retail, or hospitality.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
