As the Senior Finance Manager of a large team, this position plays a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health of the company’s international operations. Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, this role offers significant scope for a depth and width of core responsibilities as well as finance projects.


This position involves strategic financial planning, budgeting, and analysis to support the company's operational and financial objectives. The Senior Finance Manager ensures robust financial governance, oversees all areas of financial accounting, and provides critical insights to drive business decisions.


Key responsibilities will include:


Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Lead the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis and financial modelling.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying trends and providing actionable insights.


Reporting and Compliance:

  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and compliant.


Strategic Financial Management:

  • Support strategic initiatives by providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and conduct cost-benefit analysis.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives.


Team Leadership:

  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Ensure the finance team delivers accurate and timely financial information.


Cost Control and Efficiency:

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Implement financial controls to manage costs and optimize resource allocation.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational performance.


Business Partnership:

  • Act as a strategic partner to the business, providing financial expertise and guidance to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to understand their financial needs and challenges.
  • Facilitate cross-functional initiatives to drive financial and operational performance.


Risk Management:

  • Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure adequate financial controls are in place to safeguard company assets.
  • Monitor market conditions and economic trends to anticipate potential impacts on the business.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong post qualifying experience.
  • Extensive experience in finance management, ideally gained in a large, corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning and analysis.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing finance teams.

Working Conditions:
