Miryco are working with one of the leading Lloyd's of London insurers to hire a second line Assurance Analyst based in Birmingham. The role will consist of contributing to the provision of high-quality independent risk assurance and compliance monitoring across the group.



This is a great opportunity for you if you are:


  • Birmingham based
  • 1 month or less notice period
  • 2-3 years of experience of working in an assurance related role (e.g., internal/external audit, risk management or compliance).


Key Responsibilities


  • Contribute to the on-going development of the risk-based second line assurance framework.
  • Assist in the delivery of the second line assurance plan.
  • Undertake ongoing compliance monitoring, and scope, plan and undertake risk-based compliance thematic reviews across the group to provide assurance.
  • Scope, plan and undertake risk assurance assignments to assess the design and operational effectiveness of the group’s control environment.


Knowledge and Experience Required:


  • A working knowledge of a risk management frameworks and risk and control assessments.
  • Have experience of delivering assurance projects (planning, designing and executing testing, performing root cause analysis, reporting results), as well as liaising with senior management, as appropriate.
  • Have strong understanding of the financial services industry (ideally insurance) and its regulatory environment in the UK and Europe, US also preferable.
  • Have a good understanding of corporate governance.
