Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland

Salary Range: circa £45-50k

Contract: Full-time, Permanent


Located in the heart of Belfast, this prestigious multi-sports club is a hub for tennis, squash, rowing, and fitness enthusiasts. As they prepare to expand their offerings to include exciting new sports, they're searching for a dedicated Club Manager to lead their team and help them achieve their ambitious growth goals.


What You’ll Do


As the Club Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with the Board and various Committees to:


  • Implement Visionary Strategies: Transform the Board’s strategies and policies into actionable plans.
  • Elevate Our clients Facilities: Oversee and enhance the club’s sports facilities, ensuring they remain top-tier.
  • Grow Our clients Community: Drive membership growth and increase visitor engagement.
  • Boost Revenues: Maximize the club’s financial performance through effective management and innovative approaches.
  • Deliver Excellence: Provide exceptional administrative services and clear communication to our members.
  • Run an Efficient Operation: Ensure the club operates smoothly and efficiently, balancing cost-effectiveness with high standards.


Flexibility is essential, as this role requires occasional evening and weekend work to support club events and tournaments.


Who You Are


Essential Criteria:


  • Experienced Leader: Proven success in a managerial role, preferably within the sports industry.
  • People Person: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and connect with others.
  • Organized and Communicative: Strong organizational skills paired with clear and effective communication.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in IT, using technology to enhance operations and efficiency.


Desirable Criteria:


  • Financial Acumen: Experience with Quickbooks and/or Smartclub software is a plus.
  • Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to manage daily operations, staff scheduling, and customer service in a dynamic environment.
