  • Continuously evaluate existing data quality processes and systems, recommending improvements and implementing solutions.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on data quality best practices and tools.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, offering support and insights on data quality-related inquiries.
  • Engage with business SME's/data stewards to document data definitions that are easily understood and unambiguous. Ensure ongoing maintenance and cross referencing of data definitions.
  • Support IT and the business with the documentation of the business and technical metadata for Critical Data Elements.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for data and management information, in line with agreed service levels.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong knowledge of data quality principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g. SQL, Excel, data profiling tools).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify anomalies.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and exercise independent judgement.
  • Open to change with a proactive and flexible attitude and a willingness to work outside of their comfort zone to promote their learning and development.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and use initiative.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance regulations.
  • An understanding of data governance principles and deliverables.
