Overview:


Currently looking for a Project Information Manager to join our clients team in London. You will be responsible for management, coordination, facilitation and integration.

Responsibilities:

Project Design Systems (PDS)

Engineering Data Management Systems (EDM)


Project Systems:

Project Control Systems (Estimating, Planning, Cost Control, Progressing)

Supply Chain Systems etc.

Construction Management Systems

Commissioning/Completions Management Systems


Other:

Third Party hosted systems, information technology Systems and other enterprise systems including IT Infrastructure.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing Project Delivery Systems project mobilisation in line with project schedule
  • Ensure delivery of relevant, timely information to all key participants / stakeholders enabling the project to be executed to high quality standards.
  • To optimize systems, work processes and software tools to achieve these aims.
  • Coordination of Digital Project Delivery Systems used by the various departments and disciplines for the execution of the project, including 2D, 3D CAD, Project Collaboration Systems and Data Management Systems, Engineering Design Systems, Project Systems and Information Management (data integration, data warehousing and handover) and Managing Engineering Document Management (EDMS) on legacy projects.
  • Focal point for communicating with and ensuring that the IT Services are provided to meet project requirements as well as expediting those IT Services.
  • Provide all project personnel including the customer with a single point of contact for all systems and services listed above.
  • Understand and facilitate Project Workshare requirements establishing monitoring procedures to ensure effective delivery from HVE centres.
  • Identify project's information, data, hardware, network, and system needs.
  • Responsible for coordinating the project software requirements and produce the Project Delivery Checklist
  • Responsible for applicable Project Information Management execution, Planning, resource and time management of the IM team and Implementation plans and documents.
  • Ensure the whole project team understands, supports, and adheres to the Information Management strategy.
  • Educate the project team in the Digital Information Management requirements and the benefits to be gained.
  • Ensure Information, data and document handover meets contractual requirements.
  • Build and manage a competent team for Data Coordination, Tag Coordination, Supplier Data Coordination (where specified in Project Requirements), 3D Model co-ordination, Project Information Coordination, Project Systems and EDMS support and relevant application support and development requirements.
  • Accountable for managing the systems administrators within the project team.
  • Influence project execution strategy to take advantage of the Global Standard Build preferred systems and software tools, but also to find solutions to resolve project specific requirements while obtaining approval of deviations at the appropriate levels.
  • Identify and Coordinate project systems training requirements.
  • Manage interface with applications Expert Users, Software Support and relevant 3rd Parties


Qualifications:


Bsc, BEng or Equivalent (Would accept HNC/HND with relevant experience)


Good understanding/experience of:

Project Management

Systems integration

Tag numbering/management

Document numbering and EDMS systems (but is not a Doc controller),

Data Handover

Supplier/Vendor/Sub-contractor Data Handover,

CAD (2D & 3D)

IT (Engineering and Design experience required)
