Manchester, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom TrunkBBI Full time

We’re looking for a user experience researcher to step up into a mid-level position (salary will be dependent on experience).

About the Company:

TrunkBBI is an innovative full-service agency, servicing a diverse client base of nationally and internationally renowned brands. We’re in search of a talented UX Researcher to join our dynamic and fast growing UX & CRO team. Operating from our Manchester office, you will collaborate with teams across the business to deliver impactful insights and drive user-centric product development. Working on a wide variety of brochure and lead gen websites, e-commerce, SAAS products, apps, games and interactive content. (Important to note, we tell you this to demonstrate the variety of work you may be involved with, you do not need experience with all of those areas.)

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in UX research and/or demonstrate exceptional skills and knowledge in the field. While this is not a design role, familiarity with fundamental UX laws and design methodologies such as Gestalt principles is essential.

You’ll work closely with our UX and CRO team. Reporting to our UX Design Lead, linking into our UX & Ops Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting qualitative analysis methods such as UX competitor analysis, heuristic analysis, surveys, card sorting, AB testing and usability studies.
  • Assisting our senior team with stakeholder workshops, stakeholder interviews, focus groups and developing discussion guides for user interviews.
  • Working with our data team to leverage both qualitative and quantitative data to gain robust insights into end user behaviours.
  • Crafting research methodologies tailored to project requirements, whether it's a quick analysis for SME clients or a 6-month project doing a full deep dive for enterprise-level projects.
  • Advocating for user-centric design principles and always striving to drive product improvements.
  • Working closely with teams across the business; Strategy, Design, Development, Client Services, Paid Search & SEO, to deliver actionable insights and support user centric decision-making.

Additionally, candidates with experience in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and knowledge of quantitative analysis will be highly regarded.

Above everything we want someone who is passionate about creating robust research, logically minded, with the capability to empathise and comfortable working both in a team and confident enough to be proactive and work autonomously when needed. If that sounds like you and you have experience with some or all of the above, we want to hear from you.

Application Process:

At TrunkBBI, we prioritise transparency throughout our interview process, starting from the moment you apply for a role. We believe it's crucial for you to fully understand our company and culture to ensure both sides are aligned from the start.

We offer all candidates access to key individuals across our organisation. This allows you to explore opportunities, get a feel for our culture, and gain insight into how you can contribute meaningfully to TrunkBBI.

  1. CV and Portfolio Application (please ensure that there’s a link to your work within your application or on your CV)
  2. 1st Stage: After your application has been selected, our Talent team will reach out to you within two weeks to conduct an introductory call. (Unfortunately, we can’t give feedback to every person that applies who is not successful)
  3. 2nd Stage: Video / In-person interview with our UX Design Lead
  4. 3rd Stage: Video / In-Person Interview with our UX Director

If you are passionate about UX research and eager to make an impact in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you. Apply now to join our multi-talented team.

As well as a competitive salary, you will receive:

  • 24 days holiday plus 3 days over Christmas

Our commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

We had always thought our business was open and inclusive. Afterall, one of our values is “Everyone matters”. We hammer home the behaviour of treating everyone with respect, seeing things from the other person’s perspective, understanding that everyone has different values, responsibilities, concerns, families.

But when you delve a little deeper into Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, this value is a great place to start but it involves so much more.

Here at TrunkBBI, we naturally welcome difference. It’s what gives us strength as a business, the wide breadth of experience, capabilities, and perspectives. And any creative business knows that the best ideas don’t come from just one place. Diversity is important, but we feel what makes the real
