Role overview

We are seeking an individual with 3 to 5 years of experience in Property Management to assist with setting up an in-house property management function. The role will involve recruiting a team and developing and implementing processes and procedures.


Job Description

  • Setting and owning property budgets
  • Ensuring rental properties are optimally managed by agents with respect to rents, voids, and maintenance
  • Overseeing agents in relation to planned property maintenance, reactive maintenance, and block management responsibilities
  • Carrying out property inspections and compiling inspection reports for landlords alongside the Inventory Clerk
  • Overseeing change of tenants
  • Building a robust supplier list of contractors
  • Administration duties
  • General property management duties
  • Dealing with legislation including EPC, electric, health and safety, gas
  • Potential to lead in the set-up of a property management business


Candidate Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Property Management
  • Motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Property sector designation would be desirable
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with team members, members of staff from other lettings offices and contractors
  • Negotiation skills and commercial acumen
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • IT literate and fully proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Attention to detail
