Your new role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the team on a complex and busy D&B project in the centre of Glasgow. You will be the operational lead on this project from taking the project through late stage development phase to final handover. From appointing and managing the external design team and overseeing project procurement strategy and early subcontractor engagement to appointing and managing your site team you will be core part of the delivery of this project. Our client are very focused on client relationships and repeat business so you will be expected to engage positively with the client's development team and nurture a collaborative and mutually beneficial relationship with them over the duration of the project.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate is from a construction project management background with a strong track record of project delivery within the BTR , student accommodation or hotel space. You will understand the core elements of construction project management such as operational rigour , value engineering , commercial and design management and people development and enjoy the challenge of complex and stimulating projects in the middle of large cities. Your background will be construction management or civil engineering but our client will also consider candidates from a trade background.
