Our client wants the post holder to be the focal point for implementing all Education and Training activities within the Company, and to report back to the Education and Training Committee to maximise its reach and effectiveness.


Key Duties:


Overview:

· To implement a number of large scale national events engaging young people, industry and specialist education providers.

· Oversee and steer the activity around a new website to engage young people with possible careers in the industry, ensuring

· To support and report quarterly to the Education and Training Committee.


Events:

  • Emerging Creators Showcase: Plan, organize, and execute our annual one-day exhibition showcasing new talent to industry professionals. Secure sponsorship, maintain sponsor relationships, and collaborate with over 70 exhibitors, multiple sponsors, and external suppliers.
  • Young Professionals Industry Engagement Program: Coordinate and deliver a three-week professional development program for selected participants, working with over 20 organizations across the UK.
  • Educational Conference on Industry-Specific Courses: Partner with the Education and Training Committee Chair and selected members to organize a one-day conference on delivering industry-specific courses in educational settings.
  • Career Fairs and Trade Shows: Organize and attend regional events to promote our educational and training initiatives and encourage young people to pursue careers in the industry.
  • HR Conference Content Planning: Plan and organize content for the Education and Training segment at our annual HR Conference.
  • Promote Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion: Ensure all events consider and promote equality, diversity, and inclusion.


Grants:

  • Annual Grants Scheme Administration: Oversee a small annual grants scheme supporting colleges and universities offering specialist industry-related courses.
  • Travel Bursary Scheme Management: Administer a travel bursary scheme to support exhibitors attending the Emerging Creators Showcase.


Website:

  • Jobs Board Administration: Manage the jobs board on the My Industry Career website, including screening and approving vacancies, liaising with job posters, and collecting feedback data.
  • Content Scheduling: Collaborate with the Digital Officer to plan and schedule website content and social media channels.
  • Promotion and Engagement: Promote the website to the target audience and HR community for posting vacancies.
  • Quarterly Reports: Produce quarterly reports on website usage and highlights.
  • Technical Issue Resolution: Coordinate with the website provider to resolve technical issues.


Reporting:

  • Quarterly Activity and Budget Reports: Provide quarterly reports to the Education and Training Committee.
  • Committee Support: Assist the Committee Chair with organizing meetings, taking minutes, and handling related administration.
  • Ad Hoc Administration: Assist with miscellaneous administrative tasks related to the FIESTA Committee.

Personal Attributes and Skills:

  • Proven success in delivering projects and large events within demanding targets and deadlines.
  • Strong administrative experience, especially in educational or charitable organizations.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent time management, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact confidently with individuals at all levels.
  • Proficient in IT and finance.
  • Genuine empathy with our charitable cause and programs.
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn, with the flexibility to take on tasks outside the formal job description.
