Job Description:

We are looking for a hard-working software developer, to lead a new Research and Development branch of our Streamline developer tools team.

This role will involve crafting new, experimental tools and features that can empower our customers in the short term, and be coordinated into the Streamline tool in the long term. With the industry constantly evolving, the ideal candidate should be able to adapt their team's work to a changing roadmap as our customers needs change. As new features are built, the role will also involve collaborating with the wider team to integrate those features into the next generation of performance analysis tools for Arm CPUs and Mali GPUs.

STE is to help our customers craft creative and energy efficient Arm-Powered products, using powerful and easy to use development tools. Our mission is to build or enable tools that improve Arm system performance, productivity or time to market.

We are growing the team to help deliver features that support the full breadth of Arm's product portfolio. Our tools are used to optimize the latest cars, drones, mobile games, and machine learning applications, your ideas will make a difference and help to bring world-beating products to market.

Responsibilities:
  • Leading the R&D team, with responsibility for multiple projects and tools.
  • Frequent collaboration with internal and external customers, as well as the core Streamline team.
  • Code development and associated testing in a variety of languages.
  • Working in an Agile cadence and driving continuous improvement through all stages of the development life-cycle.
Required Skills and Experience :
  • Strong software development skills using Java or C++.
  • Experience writing quality code; unit/integration testing, CI/CD pipelines etc.
  • Experience working with closely with customers.
  • Leadership over a team or large software projects.
  • A good university degree in an engineering, scientific or mathematical field, or equivalent experience.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
  • Experience with people management.
  • Experience with optimization and profiling for software applications, system software.
  • Knowledge in scripting, in a language such as Python, and using the Linux command line.
  • Familiarity with Linux/POSIX development, or low level Linux/Android systems programming
