About the Company - A huge opportunity for an upcoming health and safety professional has been created to continue your Health and Safety career. This client is a market leader in the Civil Engineering sector. Reporting to the SHEQ Manager, you will support and implement health and safety on a construction project in the Birmingham area.


About the Role - You should have between 1-5 years of experience within a construction/civils health and safety role and hold an NEBOSH certificate or similar. You should have a good understanding of relevant SHEQ legislation and industry standards.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and ongoing review of the Health and Safety.
  • Undertake site inspections and attend Site Review Meetings.
  • Provide support with the identification and management of SHE risks, issues and opportunities.
  • Create site-specific audit and inspection packs.
  • Check that non-compliance reports from both internal and external audits are being adequately closed out with all corrective actions completed.
  • Audit minor works carried out across sites as and when required.
  • Proactive, engaging and positive attitude to the promotion of SHE excellence.


Qualifications

  • NEBOSH or equivalent
  • CSCS


Preferred Skills

  • Highways/civils/general construction


Pay range and compensation package

  • Salary of up to £45,000, Car allowance, Pension, Health insurance, Full IT package
