As an Area Sales Manager, reporting to the National Territory Manager, you will be responsible for attaining the agreed individual and sales team targets by promoting and selling equipment and services to existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach. Tasks and Qualifications:


Your duties and responsibilities will include:

To achieve agreed annual target of selling new, used and materials handling equipment

To generate new leads and business development opportunities by researching sources for developing prospective customers.

To manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims.

To plan and manage a personal business portfolio for assigned territory according to the market development strategy.

To demonstrate products and services to existing/potential customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs.

To establish, develop and maintain customer relationships and to follow up once delivery of a truck has taken place.

To be involved in continuous improvement of processes and procedures with other team members as requested.

Regularly demonstrate Company values of Integrity, Courage, Collaboration & Excellence.

Identifying and profiling new prospective customers through sources such as sales team feedback and LinkedIn

Initiating outbound calls to prospective clients, introducing our products and services

Engagement in digital marketing campaigns via email and social media

Utilising CRM systems to nurture and maintain strong relationships with leads, capturing valuable insights and ensuring CRM system data integrity.



Who are we looking for?

If you have experience of sales with the forklift or material handling sector, that would be an advantage but is not essential. We are looking for someone who can show previous success in sales, is self-motivated, is happy to work in a role where they will be seeking new business and following up leads. If you have experience in sales but are looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.


You will need to be commercially minded, IT literate, have excellent communication skills.
