Business Development Manager – Events Venues

£50,000 + Benefits + Hybrid Working

London


A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join the team across a small portfolio of quirky large scale events venues in London. You will be responsible for proactively generating new business for the site, building strong relationships with new and existing clients and working closely with agents and third parties to drive new leads and reach monthly and annual budgets.


Key responsibilities:


  • Proactively identify and secure new business
  • Follow up on all new prospective clients
  • Work with head of department to create and implement a focused and detailed sales plan
  • Attend exhibitions and networking events and be an ambassador for the venue
  • Establish and develop strong relationships with key clients as well as conference and events agents
  • Account management of existing clients
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and undertake competitor analysis
  • Record and report on sales activity accurately


Skills and Experience:


  • Previous experience in business development or proactive sales role from a London Venue
  • Commercially aware with a good knowledge of the London venue market
  • Ability to work in a team while being self-motivated
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Experience forecasting sales and working to targets
  • Well presented with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach
