Overview
INFINITEK is currently working in partnership with a global industrial gases business. There is an exciting opportunity to join their growing Hydrogen business unit and work on some of the largest Green and Blue Hydrogen in the EMEA region. In this role you will lead the Cost Control function in the project execution BU. The role reports directly to the Project Controls Director giving you great trajectory for future progression in a growing organisation at the forefront of Hydrogen technology and supply.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution:
- Ensure competitiveness, successful project execution, and risk management.
- Develop, bid, and implement projects.
- Provide guidance and development of resources, systems, and processes.
Cost Control Optimization:
- Develop and continually improve project cost control.
- Support a broad portfolio of projects ranging from small-scale to complex facilities.
- Align cost control plans and reporting structures
Collaboration:
- Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with Product Line and Project Execution teams.
- Drive close collaboration with regional and global teams.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop a regional project cost control team.
- Ensure compliance with global work processes and cost control IT systems.
- Provide strong cost control leadership oversight
Your Profile:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Graduate level Engineer with significant project cost control experience.
- Knowledge of project cost control principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Experience in SAP and Ecosys PMIS, especially SAP Project Systems module.
- Background in Oil & Gas, Chemical processing, or related industries.
- Proven track record in delivering accurate cost information to senior management.
Leadership Skills:
- Experience in supervising and leading a cost control team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Functional leads.
Global Experience:
- Experience in global project cost control, including foreign currency analysis and supporting multi-office projects.
- Understanding of various project types and contract terms.
Personal Attributes:
- Ability to travel internationally and domestically as required.
- Determined, adaptable, and resilient.
- Culturally astute with the ability to lead multi-cultural teams.
- Strong internal relationship network and awareness of internal strengths and weaknesses.
