The Role


As a Technical Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include:


  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet their specific requirements.
  • Collaborating with the R&D and product development teams to stay informed about the latest innovations and advancements in food ingredients and nutrition solutions.
  • Conducting product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for clients to showcase the benefits and applications of our ingredient portfolio.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and driving sales growth within the assigned territory or market segment.
  • Providing technical support and expertise to clients, troubleshooting issues, and offering guidance on product usage and optimization.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic sales planning and positioning.
  • Preparing and presenting detailed sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to senior management.
  • Attending industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote the company's products and services and to stay current with industry trends and developments.


Experience & Knowledge


To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and attributes:


  • A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related field is essential.
  • Proven experience in a technical sales role within the food and nutrition industry.
  • Strong understanding of food ingredients, formulations, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and to effectively manage customer accounts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing client needs and challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support sales activities.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
