Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be instrumental in supporting the wider team with business strategy and providing guidance on financial matters. You will be responsible for maintaining a robust financial platform that supports the business's ambitions and growth.


You must be an experienced finance professional with strong skills in financial control and reporting, commercial finance, system improvement and FP&A. You will be commercially aware, able to analyse performance to drive insight, and implement the most profitable and cashflow optimized recommendations. Working across all functions and levels in the business, you will have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.


Role Responsibilities:

· Oversee the finance team (currently 3 people, one part-time and remote), ensuring all responsibilities across the team are delivered to a high standard and team members are developed.

· Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, systems and internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

· Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

· Contribute to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, providing financial analysis and guidance on initiatives and projects.

· Lead the planning and development of budgets / forecasting, working with the business teams to define goals and KPIs aligned with business strategy.

· Manage the company’s cashflow, including timely and accurate forecasting.

· Implement processes to manage and improve margin and optimise overheads.

· Maintain a high-quality control environment ensuring systems and processes are robust, compliant, and allow for future growth, ensuring all statutory and tax requirements are met.

· Ensure the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met, including B-Corp and Carbon Neutral accreditation.

· Support the development of financial and commercial competency within the business.

· Serve as the principal contact with financial institutions and other external bodies.
