IO Associates seeks a Buyer for the Filton site. Join a global aerospace leader specializing in commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors. This role offers a chance to contribute to innovative projects within a dynamic team shaping the future of aviation and space systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support procurement strategy execution for improvement projects, covering the entire process from strategy deployment to contract sign-off.
  • Ensure validation and implementation of category strategies by relevant teams and maintain compliance with General Procurement processes to mitigate legal risks.
  • Provide guidance and updates to Business Operations to align procurement activities with category strategies, enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in defining procurement strategies across divisions, support the preparation, execution, and evaluation of Call for Tenders, and help the MDT Leader manage multiple sourcing projects.

Skills

  • Exceptional leadership skills to motivate cross-functional project teams amidst conflicting objectives, combined with advanced stakeholder management, negotiation, and persuasion abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement contracts, ideally with experience in indirect procurement categories, and excellent business analytical skills (e.g., business case studies, financial KPIs).
  • Effective communication, influencing, conflict management, and resolution skills, supported by strong organizational abilities.
  • 3 to 5 years of procurement experience, including project management and leading MFT and improvement projects.
