Our client is a dynamic, cutting edge and Innovate SME, specialising in data capture and analytics with applications within training exploitation and experimentation. Working on a technical frontier with UK Government research and development departments.

We are seeking to find a leader for the product engineering division. Shaping the team and future strategy of how the product is developed whilst ensuring its robustness, as well as pushing the boundaries of possibility.


Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the strategy and roadmap for the entire product portfolio.
  • Lead a team of product owners, product managers, and engineers.
  • Manage strategic partnerships and negotiate contracts as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability in products, adhering to ISO 9001 standards.
  • Represent the engineering team in leadership meetings and strategic discussions.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in product development and engineering.
  • Strong technical background in data analytics, software design, and engineering.
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable goals.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in industries such as simulation, aerospace, sports, or geospatial.
  • Familiarity with tracking technology trends and integrating them into R&D.
  • UK driving license and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
