Are you an experienced architect with a passion for creating stable, scalable, and efficient architectural foundations? We are seeking a Principal Architect for Asset Management Technology to lead strategic architecture initiatives and ensure alignment with business and technical goals. You will oversee Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, and Architecture Governance to support modernization, business growth, and technical stability.


Key Responsibilities:


Enterprise Architecture:

  • Lead a small central Enterprise Architecture team in collaboration with federated architects across the Asset Management Technology delivery organizations.
  • Partner with delivery teams to define multi-year architecture roadmaps, focusing on business capability build-out, modernization, and simplification.

Solution Architecture:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 5 – 10 solution architects to consult on major initiatives and resolve critical architecture or technical issues.
  • Generalize insights and develop architectural patterns, cookbooks, and best-practice guidelines.
  • Build and maintain a Solution Architecture guild to promote best practices across Asset Management Technology.
  • Collaborate with production support teams to ensure applications are supportable and have action plans for addressing any deficiencies.

Data Architecture:

  • Promote and enforce domain-driven design (DDD) across teams within Asset Management.
  • Advocate for the development of an integrated data architecture and toolset in partnership with delivery organizations to ensure consistency across the organization.

Architecture Governance:

  • Lead governance efforts to ensure sound decision-making across the Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture domains.
  • Monitor the health of the architecture and design processes, taking action to address any identified issues or gaps.


Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • 15+ years of experience in architecture roles, with preferable experience in the finance sector.
  • Expertise in on-premise and cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS), RDBMS, Java, and other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Functional programming experience is a plus.
  • Strong background in solution and enterprise architecture, including experience at large-scale enterprises.
  • Demonstrated expertise in domain-driven design (DDD) and technical infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to manage complex and diverse tasks, while meeting key project objectives and timelines.
  • Exceptional communication and active listening skills, with the ability to build networks and partnerships at all organizational levels.
  • Strong leadership skills with a successful track record in mentoring and developing architectural teams.
