Salary/Pay Rate: £81.000 per annum, pro rata (PAYE)
Hours: Full-time
Duration: 12 months
We are seeking an experienced Event Manager to oversee and manage the planning and execution of meetings and special events for our global client. The successful candidate will coordinate all amenities and accommodations, including site selection, food, transportation, and audiovisual equipment. This role requires monitoring and controlling event budgets and preparing periodic cost reports.
This is a 12-month contract, offering £81.000 per annum, pro rata (PAYE).
Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Coordination:
- Manage and oversee the planning of meetings and special events (mainly for small businesses)
- Coordinate amenities and accommodations such as site selection, catering, transportation, and audiovisual equipment.
- Ensure flawless execution of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events.
Budget Management:
- Monitor and control event budgets.
- Prepare periodic reports on costs and event performance.
- Manage and reconcile EMEA event budgets monthly.
Strategy Development:
- Develop the EMEA industry events strategy for the company's marketing automation and email marketing platform ensuring it's aligned with the International growth strategy and FY25 targets.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive annual event calendar to support meeting lead generation and customer growth forecasts.
- Create detailed project plans, including training and contingency needs, for event production and execution.
Market Understanding and Relationship Building:
- Develop an in-depth market understanding in EMEA and share findings with the US team.
- Build relationships with peers in the US and colleagues across Sales and CSM in the UK and remote EMEA.
- Manage UK agencies and build strong partnerships to scale events across EMEA and AU.
Marketing and Campaign Management:
- Develop comprehensive cross-channel marketing plans adhering to GDPR guidelines.
- Partner with Product Marketing and Customer Education Sales to drive demand for the platform in EMEA.
- Create positioning, messaging, buyer personas, and other relevant information for EMEA target segments.
- Rigorously manage, measure, and analyze all events and marketing campaigns, driving conversion rate increases and funnel optimization.
- Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze outcomes, provide insights, and present results to facilitate sound decision-making.
- Identify future opportunities to expand the footprint in EMEA.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in event planning and management, ideally in a SaaS environment.
- Experience in developing and executing in-person, hybrid, and virtual events.
- Knowledge of EMEA market and ability to localize assets and events.
- Strong budget management and reporting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships across different regions and departments.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide actionable insights.
- Proficient in cross-channel marketing plans and adhering to GDPR guidelines.
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage and support subordinate staff.
