Responsible for developing and establishing robust relationships with suppliers you will play a key part in maximising profit margins, product selection, stock availability, and operational processes.


About the role

As the Procurement Specialist you will be expected to perform the following duties:


  • Manage current and prospective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Procurement to refine and develop the existing buying strategy.
  • Work closely with the sales team to align the buying strategy with customer needs.
  • Monitor pricing and negotiate with suppliers to ensure optimal prices and service levels are achieved
  • Ensure suppliers adhere to contractual obligations.
  • Maintain visibility of agreed KPIs and monitor their consistency throughout the year.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and analyse trends



About you

To succeed as the Procurement Specialist, you will need the following attributes:


  • Background in distribution, wholesale or FMCG is desirable
  • Experience in procurement and commercial strategy
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, both internal and external
  • Effective negotiation skills and ability to set SLAs
  • Advanced forecasting abilities and the ability to analyse market trends
  • Capable of creating impactful presentations for internal use and external supplier meetings
