HR Officer | Bingham, Nottingham | Office Based | 30 hours a week initially, leading to full-time 37.5 hrs | £35,000 per annum pro rata

Midland Filtration are a busy growing filtration company based in Bingham in Nottingham. Established in 1985, we are one of the largest filtration companies in the UK. We have a very large customer base from self-employed contractors through to blue-chip companies and every one is as important to us, so our aim is to give them all the highest possible level of service.

We are now seeking to recruit an HR Officer to join our team. Your responsibilities will include providing support to the Group HR Director.

You will have a friendly outgoing personality and will be a confident communicator, both on the phone, in person and on email. Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a small business or in manufacturing and will be CIPD qualified.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • CIPD certification or equivalent is desirable
  • Proven experience in HRM, preferably in manufacturing or multi-site capacity
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to travel to Scotland office on occasions

What will your role look like?

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources within the company, with support from the Group HR Director. This will include overseeing employee recruitment, development, and retention, managing HR processes, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and providing support and guidance to management and employees on HR-related matters. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate records, managing HR systems, payroll administration and contributing to the resolution of employee relations issues.
