Key Responsibilities:


We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to lead the Finance function in London for Karla Otto. The Head of Finance will oversee the accounting and finance related topics of the entity and should have experience working in a fast paced, agency environment.


This role will oversee the accounting team and be highly involved in the relationships with several teams, internally or externally.


The responsibilities of the Head of Finance include, but are not limited to, accounting, controlling functions and management of the accounting team:


Accounting

  • Oversee client revenue and accounts receivable function, including monthly billings, income allocation, and collection process
  • Manage costs and accounts payable function, ensuring strong cost control and vendor relationship management
  • Management and follow up of all intercompany flows and positions across the different entities of the Group.
  • Administration of payroll function, including management of statutory payroll and wage compliance, execution and maintenance of payroll company policies, and management of employee benefits (health, retirement, commuter, compensatory)
  • Cash reconciliation and treasury follow up
  • Management of the tax declarations monthly (including VAT)
  • Preparation of accurate monthly financial accounts, including profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
  • Preparation of the annual financial accounts according to the closing calendar
  • Management of the statutory audit process
  • Participation in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements regarding the contribution of the entity to the Group consolidated accounts
  • Management of the relationships with key stakeholders: payroll supplier, auditors, insurers, bankers, lawyers, chartered accountant if any and other professionals in relation to financial matters


Controlling

  • Analysis of monthly financial performance, providing insightful commentary to Group Finance and Top Management
  • Ensure that financial systems and reporting methods are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth
  • Identification of initiatives that could improve the performance, use of commercial acumen to give input on the strategic direction of the company


Reforecast and budget

  • Preparation and presentation of annual budgets, ensuring compliance with corporate budgeting processes and conducting reviews.
  • Preparation and presentation of regular reforecasts as needed over the year
  • Development and maintenance of the cash flow forecasting model.


Business partnering

  • Assistance to the business teams when needed, e.g., budget proposal, profitability analysis
  • Work with Management to explore business opportunities and implications of an evolving client offering
  • Building collaborative relationships across all functions and countries.



Key Attributes

  • Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving approach, attention to detail, and investigative nature.
  • Proficient in IT skills, including a good knowledge of Excel.
  • Leadership abilities, with the potential to motivate others.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High integrity and openness, with a commitment to good governance.
  • Energetic, highly motivated, and inquisitive.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Experience working in an agency setting would be a plus.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels, being commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful, and influential.
