Job overview:

This is a Professional Specification Sales role, with responsibility for growing and developing existing and new accounts whilst searching for new business in Scotland.


The ideal candidate will raise and convert new projects and influence all types of specifiers, promoting solutions covering lighting and lighting controls.


It would be advantageous if the candidate has existing contacts and a customer base in the lighting industry with a background in the Amenity, Industrial, Logistics, Rail and Retail sectors. Some previous experience in lighting for internal and external applications will be required.


Main responsibilities:

  • Grow existing accounts and generate new business in Scotland.
  • Work as part of a UK-wide team to maximise opportunities for the business.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and industry contacts.
  • Provide lighting design expertise for internal and external applications.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies in line with business plans.
  • Stay connected with industry trends and developments.
  • Build on strong brand recognition with ability to provide high quality service level at point of sale.


Key skills and experience:

  • Strong sales, business development and project management skills.
  • Willingness and desire to learn and develop a career in Specification Selling.
  • Some previous experience and a desire to continue to learn lighting design for internal and external applications.
  • Existing contacts and customer base in the lighting industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
