The Role
The Business Process Specialist will be someone who can effectively collaborate with multiple cross-functional stakeholders at Business Process Level 2 (Value Chains) and Business Process Level 3 (Business Process Modelling) to define the current and future state of business processes.
The Business Process Specialist will deploy Lean Six Sigma and Quality metrics methodology to create effective and efficient business processes in collaboration with process owners.
Key Responsibilities
• Undertake process analysis and design for assigned projects as prioritised by the Business Process Manager
• To challenge and question “as-is” and “to-be” process designs so that real effectiveness is embedded in every aspect of the company. Key processes are being designed and/or amended very frequently in response to the fast-paced growth of the company.
• To use appropriate methodologies to identify and model improvements to existing (or non-documented) processes.
• Create process models that are to a standard required for future state process mining (and RPA opportunities)
• Develop and manage direct relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure the business processes are aligned with strategic goals and priorities, and, if appropriate, how process automation through IT solutions will help them reach their goals.
• Identify and highlight opportunities for digital collaboration.
Essential Skills
• Evidence of creating process documentation to BPMN2 standards.
• Ability to cope with changing priorities, competing deadlines and a shifting field.
• Strong negotiation and consensus building skills when dealing with internal customers, stakeholders, and team members.
• Proven track record in Process Analysis
Desirable Skills
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or above.
• Lean Practitioner.
Experience of using specialised BPM tools (e.g., Signavio)
• Proven Lean Six Sigma experience, value stream mapping.
• Proven Telecoms experience (or similar, a construction background is also acceptable)
