As our SaaS Sales Executive you will be developing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders in the UK energy sector, understanding their needs, and presenting tailored solutions.

With an ​award-winning set of SaaS solutions that help energy suppliers and brokers alike win more deals, better manage risk, and grow their businesses. Our product team works across the entire product lifecycle; from visioning and discovery, validating ideas through to launching products and services that are valuable to our SaaS businesses and users.


What will you be doing?

You’ll have a deep understanding of the SaaS market for energy suppliers, including regulatory frameworks, key industry players, and energy management solutions.


Market & Customer Research

  • Conduct market research to identify key trends, regulatory changes, and opportunities in the UK energy sector.
  • Identify and segment target accounts within the energy supplier market.
  • Monitor competitors’ strategies, strengths, and weaknesses to optimize positioning.


Pipeline Management & Sales Forecasting

  • Develop, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.
  • Use CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot) to track pipeline, document activities, and report metrics to management.
  • Regularly review pipeline health, ensuring a consistent flow of opportunities through the sales stages.


Customer Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Build relationships with key decision-makers within energy supplier organizations.
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand customer pain points, challenges, and objectives.
  • Develop and deliver presentations tailored to customer needs and product-fit assessments.


Solution Selling & Product Demonstrations

  • Present SaaS solutions effectively, showcasing how the product can address specific challenges in the prospective customers organisation.
  • Conduct product demos tailored to client needs and demonstrate value propositions aligned with customer pain points.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to customize solutions that meet customer needs.


Negotiation & Deal Closure

  • Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and conditions, ensuring alignment with company policies and profit targets.
  • Handle objections and resolve customer concerns to progress deals to closure.
  • Work with Legal and Finance teams to manage contract processes and finalize agreements.


Post-Sale Handover & Customer Success Collaboration

  • Ensure a smooth handover to the Customer Success, account management and Implementation teams, providing all necessary information about client requirements and agreements.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, ensuring a good experience from onboarding to product usage.


Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Use data to analyse and report on sales metrics, conversion rates, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide insights into customer needs, market trends, and potential product improvements to the Product and Marketing teams.
  • Use data-driven insights to adjust strategies and increase efficiency in the sales process.


Sales Strategy & Goal Achievement

  • Work with the Head of UK Sales and team to define quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Contribute to the overall sales strategy, including prospecting strategies, marketing alignment, and customer retention.
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas, ensuring revenue targets are achieved or surpassed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience: 5+ years of sales experience within the energy sector.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), MS Office, and virtual sales presentation tools.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the UK energy regulatory environment is highly desirable.
