About Assistant Front of House Manager role

To assist with the smooth and efficient running of the Hotel Operation and all related Guest Services, achieving maximum sales and guest satisfaction whilst adhering to the standard of service required by the hotel. To provide care and assistance to guests during their stay, and deliver where necessary professional service recovery.


The successful Assistant Front of House Manager will undertake the following duties:

To ensure, through effective supervision, that all operational services function with the utmost efficiency as per the Departmental Operations Policies and Procedures.

To report any shortcomings and do appropriate recommendations or undertake or corrective measures.

To assist HODs during peak periods / meal periods

To be fully conversant with all Hotel, Fire and Emergency procedures, bomb threat procedures and other Health & Safety procedures

To be fully conversant with all legislation pertaining to the hotel operation.

To assist on cover for night shift if needed

To constantly strive to meet and exceed guest needs

To effectively handle and resolve any guest problems or complaints in the hotel in accordance with the companys Complaint Handling Procedure

To conduct regular room inspections and liaise with the Housekeeping Department on deviation from standard set-ups.

To ensure regular checks on the cleanliness of all public areas, etc.

To complete daily Fire Walks and report any faulty items, obstructions, etc., to the right department or take immediate remedying actions where necessary

To monitor and investigate negative guest feedback, providing a detailed report where appropriate with suggested response and corrective action

To be fully responsible for the DMs log book, following through any outstanding tasks where required

To attend all the meetings and briefings as assigned by the Rooms Division Manager

To contribute to regular departmental communication meetings, to keep colleagues informed of progress of hotel objectives, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments.

To ensure all project deadlines are met and submitted in a timely manner

To ensure appropriate fire evacuation in emergency cases by adhering to the evacuation procedures.

To adhere at all times to the companys data protection policies and procedures.

To ensure rosters are prepared and posted on time and timesheets are submitted in a timely manner


Skills and requirements

Exceptional customer care skills.

Ability to work in a busy environment

Knowledge of Local area Heathrow / Hounslow

Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues across the hotel

Constantly improve knowledge and show a desire to learn, attend companys trainings

Take a responsible approach towards timekeeping and attendance to ensure the department runs efficiently, and assist in the event of absence cover

Maintain high levels of enthusiasm and commitment to every task undertaken

Good communication skills

Proficiency in English Language is strongly preferred

Opera PMS and Symphony system experience is preferable

Previous experience in hotel environment is a requisite
