We are currently recruiting for one of our trusted clients who are looking for an Access Control Electrical Engineer. Our client is a well-established UK-based company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, fully compliant safety solutions and services across a wide range of industrial sectors.



What You Can Expect

Key Responsibilities as an Access Control Electrical Engineer

  • Supervise and provide technical support to a small team of Electricians.
  • Lead and attend meetings with Suppliers, Clients and Internal Customers (Contract managers/directors)
  • Liaise with Suppliers to ensure availability of materials required for all projects.
  • Ability to organise workload effectively.
  • Carry out Risk Assessments on automatic gates.
  • General Administration – (RAMS/technical files/quotations).
  • Help develop new areas of the Business – Access Control.
  • The role will also involve carrying out installations where required & fault finding on gate and access control systems so a ‘hands on approach’ is essential.


Core Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

  • Project development & management with delivery to deadlines.
  • Experience in managing/supervising a team.
  • Good Knowledge in Access Control and Automatic Gates
  • Experience with safety relays or programmable safety controllers
  • Experience in specifying control elements in automation.
  • Ability to grow customer base within Access Control/Automatic Gates
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good IT skills and experience with Word/Excell packages etc.

  • Always Conforming to the Safety Rules and Safe Systems of Work Procedures, including permit-to-work systems, inspection and testing etc.
  • Wearing appropriate safety or protective equipment, personal footwear or clothing and using appropriate safety devices, as specified, at all times.
  • Making suggestions to improve Health, Safety and Environmental issues in the Company to Management.
  • Reporting at the earliest opportunity, all risks or hazards, including environmental issues directly to their Manager
  • Reporting without delay any injury suffered as the result of any incident during the course of their work to their immediate supervisor or First Aider as appropriate.
  • Ensuring that good housekeeping is always maintained at their workstation and surrounding area.
  • Taking reasonable care of themselves and other people who may be affected by their actions whilst at work.
