Duties will include ( but are not limited to):

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and managers, providing expert guidance, coaching and support in all areas of employee relations including more complex ER matters.
  • Provide effective guidance and support around areas such as conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, performance management and employee engagement.
  • Support the P&C Director in ensuring business structures, frameworks and systems that are optimal and support business growth and aspirations.
  • Partner with the function leads in organisation design and architecture supporting the ambition to create clear career pathways and development for all.
  • Support P&C Director with HR projects within the business identifying risk, challenges and working to agreed timelines.
  • Ensure that the business has fair and transparent people practices to maintain positive working relationships.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to identify and implement appropriate employee wellbeing initiatives, role and performance evaluation initiatives and career development plans.

The ideal person will possess proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast paced commercial or central functions environment. You will have a robust knowledge of HR principles, HR practice and employment law with excellent interpersonal, coaching and communications skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels. The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion is a must as is, the ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The role is hybrid and based in Peterborough.
