What we need from you

Reporting to our Special Works Commercial Manager of our Scotland Region, you will provide commercial expertise to aid with the delivery of the contracted work by taking the commercial lead in a geographical focused team. Our Senior Quantity Surveyors are responsible for the provision of accurate and timely commercial reports and advice to the to the management team whilst ensuring the contract achieves the appropriate commercial targets.

  • You will need to be able to provide or obtain the right to work in the UK.
  • You will need to be able to drive and provide or obtain a full UK Driving Licence to travel across our projects, this is predominantly a site-based role to initially support our projects in the Edinburgh area and will also lead to wider business support for sites across Galashiels, North Lanarkshire, North Ayrshire, East Dunbartonshire, Dumfries and more.
  • Are you an experienced construction Senior Quantity Surveyor or looking for that step up in your commercial career?
  • You will have a qualification or the skills and experience at SCQF Level 10 (e.g., Degree level).
  • Be able to demonstrate experience in leading a team on commercial projects; refurbishment-type projects would be an advantage.
  • Convey client-facing experience as being the lead Quantity Surveyor.
  • Be able to ensure the project and programme contract, cost, quality and time targets are met
  • Make certain prompt and regular submission of main contract payment applications and ensure that subcontractor payments are dealt with fairly and in accordance with subcontract terms.
  • Preferably, you will be RICS accredited.
  • Have a real passion for the industry and want to deliver exceptionally, the places where we live, learn, work, play, care and protect.
