My client a a Central London based Accountancy Practice is seeking a driven and ambitious Payroll Director to join them. As the company is rapidly expanding there is a need to bring their portfolio of clients in-house. This position is client-driven and will involve working with high-profile clients in the creative sectors, as well as a number of mid-sized firms.

Day to day of the role:

  • Managing end-to-end payroll processes for a diverse range of clients.
  • Working on multi payroll with headcounts ranging from 2 - 30, as well as servicing a handful of mid-sized firms.
  • Ensuring accurate RTI submissions and compliance with all payroll regulations.
  • Handling pension schemes, including the auto-enrolment process and submissions to various provider platforms.
  • Providing exceptional service to high-profile clients, ensuring all their payroll needs are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Leading and managing one direct report, with a focus on team development and process improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • CIPP qualified or equivalent, or operating at a comparable level of expertise.
  • Proven experience in delivering fully managed UK payroll services.
  • Capability to run multiple payrolls to various deadlines throughout the month, from start to finish.
  • Knowledge of pension schemes, including the auto-enrolment process and pension submissions.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in a bureau, practice, or industry background with experience managing multiple payrolls is highly desirable.
