SCRUM MASTER - INSURANCE


PURPOSE


As the successful Scrum Master, you play a pivotal part in supporting our client’s operations and technical teams in ensuring effective sprints, timely resolution and championing of their automation and simplification of data management processes.

We are Insurance and Life Insurance subject matter expert and advice provision and understand the insurance business from an end to end perspective – relevant lines of business, insurance products, processes, data used, systems, applications and infrastructure – all of the relevant technology landscape – including any third party suppliers and providers that the business is dependent on provision of analytical and problem solving; think ‘out of the box’ for improvements.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Collaborate with Product Owners to develop and manage backlogs, ensuring robust prioritisation aligned with data requirements.
  • Provide effective and consistent communications and reporting to stakeholders and including external partners.
  • Support service delivery continuity, maintain quality, and enhance overall employee engagement.
  • Navigate through complexity, remove blockages, and drive innovation, setting the stage for future reuse.
  • Ensure decisions are data-driven, applying quantifiable data whenever possible, including benefit quantification.


KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE


  • Previous experience for working as a Scrum Master within the insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of insurance processes, ways of working and insurance value chain.
  • Deep Understanding of Scrum and Agile practices, events, collaborations, tools, ways of working, metric reporting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication with the ability to plan, facilitate and conduct workshops.
  • Ideally be a self-starter with the good stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Jira and confluence.
  • Possess excellent presentation skills/visual representations skills.
  • Knowledge of insurance technology, systems, applications, and how they facilitate business solutions.
