The service you will work in….

The Coves is a community based crisis alternative service, provided by Hestia on behalf of Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, offering non-clinical support to individuals experiencing a crisis or mental distress

A day in this role looks like….

As a Pool Worker at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our service. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.

A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:

  • To carry out individual one to one sessions with service users and, where appropriate, to support them to develop their own wellness, recovery action plan and safety plans.
  • To maintain accurate records of service user visits, support and interventions provided and any outcomes.
  • To signpost and refer to other appropriate local services to meet service user needs
  • Develop good working relationships with external stakeholders
  • Assist SU on their journey to recovery by developing and leading well-being sessions and groups

  • Understanding of the principles of recovery as an ethos and a range of recovery approaches.

  • Good IT skills, that includes a working knowledge of functions in MS Word, Outlook and the internet.

  • Awareness of health and safety issues.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately
