This is a this newly created position will grant you the autonomy to identify and introduce changes to benefit the business and have a hand in shaping the future.
THE ROLE:
As a Process Engineer your duties will include:
- Process Engineering Leadership: Oversee the process engineering function supporting plant operations and products. This encompasses Front End Engineering Design and Process Engineering Design studies.
- Documentation and Support: Prepare relevant process engineering documents for FEED studies, such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, commissioning procedures, equipment specifications, data sheets, and calculations, ensuring timely project execution.
- EHS Compliance: Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements, policies, and principles.
- Project Planning and Management: Manage the installation and commissioning of new or modified plants, ensuring cost, time and quality targets are met.
- Capital Projects: Lead the conceptual phase of capital projects, developing strategies to expand and provide capacity to suit business requirements.
- Safety and Risk Management: Assist in HAZOPs, LOPAs, design reviews and risk assessments. Implement recommendations, following best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead CI activities, supporting manufacturing troubleshooting and optimising processes.
THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal Process Engineer:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Chartered Chemical Engineer/IChemE (desirable, but not essential)
- Previously worked in a COMAH site
- A dynamic personality with an entrepreneurial spirit to identify improvement opportunities
- Working knowledge of DSEAR, CDM, COMAH
- Skilled in Project Management
- The ability to work autonomously
- Ability to communicate and engage with people across all levels
- Strong problem solving skills
