About the opportunity


We're looking for an experienced social market researcher to join us as a Senior Research Manager in our team which manages projects in the work, welfare, wellbeing, health, housing, community sector.


We're a mixed methods agency and we welcome candidates who have a preference for quantitative or qualitative methods though you will be involved in both methodologies and will want to grow your skills and be open to being flexible.


You'll be able to build your career at IFF, we use internal skill and knowledge to develop and deliver our MRS accredited training as well as external training opportunities to ensure you can grow you career the way you want to. You will also be able to work with the T&D Director to help design and eventually deliver training to the wider research team.


You'll be given the opportunity to work on a number of projects within your team, which will provide you routes to build managerial, financial, project and client skills and work on a variety of projects to ensure you are exposed to different clients and deliverables.


Working alongside our Directors you’ll attend new business pitches and work with the senior team to develop and build on success within your sectors as well as developing your career and expertise.

Who are we looking for?


This is a role for someone who enjoys the pace of agency research and is keen to apply their skills and develop their knowledge on a range of projects with a variety of colleagues.


You’ll be currently working at a similar level or will be able to demonstrate to us that you have the right experience to step into this Senior Research Manager role. We want people to join us and develop their skills here, apply their expertise and join a team who can help them grow their career while supporting the growth of IFF.


As above, you may have worked in either quantitative or qualitative but have skills and experience in both methodologies are keen for more of a balance in your research strategy skills.


Experience delivering surveys would be ideal and you may have some evaluation experience but certainly will have a base knowledge and want to develop that understanding as we grow our expertise in this area.


Our people have great communication skills, both written and verbal, and you’ll be a leader with integrity and an approachable and collaborative style. You should have some experience of managing others and be able to manage several projects concurrently, work under pressure and react positively as requirements change.
