The Senior Supply Chain Management (SCM) Specialist plays a pivotal role in the strategic and operational execution of SCM initiatives within our client's designated business unit. This position requires the development and implementation of localised plans that align with and support global SCM objectives, aiming to foster an efficient, cost-effective supply chain.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all Supply Chain policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Actively participate in defining and achieving project-specific SCM strategies and objectives.
  • Implement sourcing strategies effectively within the assigned business unit through collaboration and expertise.
  • Manage the relevant processes and stakeholders, addressing internal challenges and supporting client negotiations.
  • Oversee the entire procurement process, from Request for Quotation (RFQ) issuance to supplier selection, management, and product/service delivery.
  • Conduct commercial and contractual analyses, bid schedule evaluations, and incorporate technical evaluations from Engineering, QA, QC, and HSE. Finalise bid summaries and recommend solutions to the Project SCM Manager.
  • Provide progress reports and address any issues related to contract awards as per project requirements.
  • Handle commercial and financial matters related to assigned subcontracts or purchase orders, negotiate variations/change orders, and offer regular cost forecasts.
  • Apply lessons learned to enhance SCM practices, mitigate risks, and promote safety and integrity.
  • Assume full responsibility for implementing the Project Procurement Plan in collaboration with Project Management, Engineering, and other relevant teams.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to develop the local Supply Chain function.
  • Possess a strong understanding of technical issues and the offshore industry, providing support to the team when needed.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in a relevant field (Engineering or Business) or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in one or more areas of Supply Chain expertise, with recent roles in a senior or expert capacity.
